Audited management system for quality, environment and occupational health and safety

In order to ensure the high quality of the drinking water supply and wastewater disposal now and in the future, Berliner Wasserbetriebe have established a certified quality and environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 and 14001 and an occupational health and safety management system in accordance with OHSAS 18001.

The certification confirms at the same time the conformity with the Technical Safety Management (TSM) of the Trade Associations of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water e.V. (DVGW) and the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA).

With the certificates we can prove to customers and partners that Berliner Wasserbetriebe operates in accordance with organised and prescribed processes, and that the processes are thereby constantly audited and further optimised. The main focus is on the orientation to the demands of the customers and their implementation.

With the integrated management system we ensure internally the legal security of their organisation and their constant adaptation to the changing boundary conditions. A clear organisation with defined responsibilities, assigned duties and specified areas of responsibility has been created that is maintained, continuously audited for effectiveness and improved.

The management handbook that describes the complete structure and process organisation is accessible to every employee as system documentation via internal media. The handbook describes in detail all the processes necessary for the functioning of a management system.
