Grease Separators

According to the  General Terms and Conditions for Drainage in Berlin (DT&Cs), owners of properties on which, as a result of commercial activity, substances occur that are lighter than water, for example, oil or grease, must install and operate equipment for separating these substances from the wastewater to state-of-the-art standards.

In addition, the discharge of commercial wastewater (trade effluent) into the public drainage systems requires a permit.

The producer of the wastewater receives this from Berliner Wasserbetriebe. We show you what you need to do to install and operate a grease separator in our checklist.
